How to play the ten-picture challenge
A practical guide to marking differences, using hints and understanding your score.
Start with a pair of pictures
Choose a challenge from the home page. Each challenge contains ten illustrated pairs, and each pair has its own page. Read the number of differences above the picture before starting. You can take as long as you like: there is no countdown, and continuing does not depend on beating a time limit. The playful headlines inside some illustrations are challenge captions, not measured completion times or statistics about our players.
Mark the changed detail
Tap or click a detail that differs between the left and right scenes. Either panel works. A correct selection draws a green circle around the matching area in both panels and increases the found counter. Selecting the same difference twice does not add another point. A tap outside the marked areas does not remove points. Try the centre of the changed object if your first tap does not register.
Use a closer view
On a small screen, choose Zoom to open an enlarged picture. Scroll horizontally and vertically to compare the two scenes, and tap a changed detail in that view. Close the enlarged view when you want to continue. If your browser has keyboard navigation, use Tab to reach interactive areas and Enter or Space to activate them. You do not need to create an account.
Hints and answers
Give me a hint highlights one difference you have not found. It does not award a point by itself; you still need to select the detail. Show answers reveals the marked areas and explains each change. Once you reveal answers, the score for that picture keeps only the differences you had already found. Reloading the page does not turn revealed answers into earned points.
Continue, return or restart
Continue to next picture opens the following round on its own page. You may continue without finding every difference. At the end, the results show differences found, pictures completed and pictures where you found every difference. Returning in the same browser resumes saved progress while the progress cookie remains available. Start this challenge again clears the saved answers for that challenge and opens picture one; it does not delete other challenges.
